Lentera Kayu, meaning Wooden Lantern in Bahasa, is four townhouses, each rising over two levels, grounded by a textured concrete base infused with seashell aggregate — heavy, tactile, and rooted in place. Above, a lighter expression emerges: timber volumes wrapped in layered screens, filtering sun by day and emitting a soft glow by night.
The architecture performs like a lantern — not as an object, but as an experience. Light is diffused, shadows are animated, and privacy becomes a gradient rather than a boundary.
